Fiammetta Tarli was born in Pisa, Italy. She started studying piano with Giampiero Semeraro at the age of five and gave her first concert at nine. Later she continued her studies with Maria Tipo (one of Italy’s leading pianists) and at the Florence Conservatoire with Lydia Rocchetti-Pezzati. She took her diploma in Piano Performance and Music Studies at the Florence Conservatoire (10/10 cum Laude and Special Award).
She participated in several master-classes with Alexander Lonquich and specialised with Ilonka Deckers in Milan.
Winner of the 1st Prize of the National Piano Competition “Muzio Clementi” in Florence at the age of twelve, “Pietro Napoli” in Livorno (three times), “Pasquale Cafaro” in Galatina, “J. S. Bach” in Sestri Levante and the International Piano Competition in Stresa.
